We first met with the Riglers two years before breaking ground on their unique project. After meeting with a few other designers and builders their neighbors and friends recommended Custom Home Group. From that moment forward we partnered with them as their dream home began to take shape. They had a home that they loved and a timber sitting room that they built themselves, our goal was to craft an addition that would preserve the room and their memories. From the very beginning we were able to offer them a custom design solution that would reflect their personality, meet their budget and easily transition from designer to architect. How can we do all of this? Because at Custom Home Group we are designers, architects and builders who don’t push “our style” on our clients, but who listen.
The Rigler’s project provided a special challenge for Custom Home Group. We thought it was critical to maintain the design aesthetic that they had created when they built their timber-framed sitting room. Our designer found a way of pulling those design cues into the rest of the home while still giving them a space filled with light and warmth. We understand that this wasn’t just a house, it was a home that we were creating.
Our designers and builders believe in maintaining an open and transparent relationship with our clients. From day one we worked to ensure that the Riglers were involved in each step of our fully integrated process. One of the ways that we accomplished this is with the use of a web application that allows for the quick and easy sharing of timelines, milestones, status reports and even pictures. Not only did we meet with the Riglers on-site once a week, we kept them updated day-to-day with real time information. How does this level of direct input help? Quick approval times and a greater sense of project ownership lead not only to budgets being met but dreams being built.
